ON THE SIDELINE OF HISTORY
Sometimes in our lives there comes a moment when history takes place right in front of our eyes. And it seems like we are the watchers of it. And when the years go by and realize that you were part of that moment and your name is not recorded in the books of history, how will you feel then.
What is it that you could do differently so that your name should be included in the history books. I have been watching The Social Network right now. And I realize that people like Christy and Alice were there right in the beginning of the Facebook. But their names would not be known, because they never contributed anything to Facebook. And as much as the reality is hard to accept. During that time when they were meeting of the Facebook, Christy was around but unfortunately history won't even recognize her, because she is not known.
How many of us are there in the making of history and our name are not recorded in the books. How many of us stay behind and we let things unfold as if we were not part of the history. How many of us stay on the sideline of history and realize after a long time that was the moment.
Would your name be recorded in the books of history. We'll you help someone or people to be recorded in the books of history and not be recorded yourself. And how will you feel after a long time to know that you were part of history that is taking place.
When we talk about history makers would your name be amongst the name that comes up. Would you be recognise for the contribution you made. And when you are on the sideline would anybody know who you are.
When you know you are in the beginning of something great and stick to that. Chances are you will be recognised for the contribution you have made. But how many of us know that we are in the middle of history makers. How do we know that the work we do today will be the work that tomorrow the world would see it as historical.
When we are being involve in the projects that we do. How do we know that the project we are involve in will be part of history. How do we know that one day the world will recognize us for the contribution we have done. How do we know that.
Are all of us like Christy and Alice in the Social Network that want to be around people who are doing the work. Do we want to be around famous people and wonder how do they do it. While we can actually see how they do it.
It is more like we see an athlete practising to become one of the best athlete we have ever seen. And once the athlete start to break records we become amazed like we did not see it coming.
People who want history to record their names, they cannot afford to stay on the sideline, because being in the sideline is costly. And sometimes the regrets of being on the sideline could last a lifetime.
So don't live your life on sideline, because no one will know you, because no one will remember you. The world always remember people who are in the forefront. So if you want to be a history maker be on the forefront.
